GranEnergia Group reached a transformative milestone with the acquisition of Royal IHC's 50% stake in Gran Services. In 2017, Gran and IHC joined forces to establish Gran Services, a successful partnership resulting in very positive outcomes.
Initially GranServices focused on integrity, maintenance, and repair services to the oil & gas market. During the years of the partnership, the company strategically expanded its operations towards other fields, such as engineering, installation, commissioning, and supply chain management.
GranServices was able to grow and create value throughout the period of the partnership. Net revenues soared 4 times, surpassing R$ 400 million, and generated more than 3.000 direct jobs.
With this strategic expansion, GranServices consolidates its role as an industry leader, promoting the growth and excellence of the services provided to its clients, says Rodrigo Dantas, CEO of Gran Services.
As a consequence, GranEnergia Group strengthens its capacity of offering comprehensive and high-quality integrated solutions to its clients, reinforcing its position as a reliable partner and an industry leader.
An important landmark was the creation of Dome, a joint venture between GranServices and Prumo Logística at the Açu Port, where the company offers a variety of services from naval repair, support to the subsea industry, decommissioning, port operations and the supply of basic and operational infrastructure.
Gran Services’ affiliate, GranEnergia charters and operates safety and maintence vessels (UMS) and provides logistics services to offshore O&G operators. The company has built a strong track record of safety and quality standards among first-tier clients in Brazil and Africa in the past 9 years.
“The acquisition of the Royal IHC stake in Gran Services is an important landmark for the strategy of consolidating our integrated business model”, says Miguel Gradin, CEO of GranEnergia Group. “We start a new chapter in consolidating an enduring and innovative business platform to make positive change in the world, from innovative, efficient and integrated solutions from oil & gas services, supply chain and port infrastructure to offshore marine operations and pioneering technologies for carbon transition.”
